Preschoolers like robots just as much as school-age children, probably due to the many movies and TV shows featuring robots. For a craft activity, make one of the recycled robot craft projects listed here.
Barnett, Mac. OH NO! OR, HOW MY SCIENCE PROJECT DESTROYED THE WORLD. A little girl builds a robot for the science fair, but it soon runs through town because she forgot to program it to follow the command “Stop!” Bright illustrations and a very brief text make this appeal to a wide age range.
Cali, Davide. MAMA ROBOT. A boy imagines building a robot to take the place of his mom, who is always working. Of course, the robot doesn’t have the important qualities his mother has.
