Chalk Storytime
There are no
t many picture books on chalk, so I would use this theme for a do-it-yourself craft program for school-age children. Start by reading one or two of the picture books listed below, which include chalk drawing in the plot. Then, use some of the great chalk ideas from these two books: Sidewalk Chalk by Jamie Kyle McGillian or Chalk Talks: the Magical Art of Drawing with Chalk by Ormond McGill.
