Halloween – Revised
Halloween is a fun time of year at the library! Halloween storytimes can encourage attendees to wear costumes, “trick or treat” throughout the library, and enjoy fun Halloween stories. For simple low-cost craft ideas, visit: Halloween Crafts for Kids (dltk-holidays.com).
Button, Lana. The Cow Said Boo! With the repeated title phrase, this rhyming story will engage listeners with a tale of a cow mistaken for a ghost.
Daywalt, Drew. The Crayons Trick or Treat. The crayons are in their costumes and ready for candy but don’t know what to say at each house they visit.
Dean, James. Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins. A new version of the popular Halloween fingerplay/song.
Fronis, Aly. If You’re Spooky and You Know it. A twist on the interactive storytime favorite.
Gehl, Laura. Happy Owl-oween! With the repeated title phrase, this is a great interactive read-aloud as owls celebrate Halloween.
