The word “hat” takes on a broader meaning in this imaginative book that begins with a question: “Do you know what a hat is?” Answers include not only realistic hats but also unexpected ones such as a lid of a pot, a book balanced atop someone with good posture, and even an acorn on the tip of a finger.
