Author Tim Kehoe Dies: Timothy Kehoe died unexpectedly at age 43 on Feb. 27, 2014.

Book Club in a Box: The California Center for the Book’s “Book Club in a Box” program includes everything you need to present and publicize a themed, multi-week book discussion group in your library. The Center loans you 10-15 copies of the books and also supplies discussion questions, critical essays, bookmarks, flyers, posters, and, in some cases, videotapes and DVDs. The program is FREE and the Center pays for the shipping of the materials to and from your library. You may keep the supplementary materials including the videotapes and DVDs.
Two of our book clubs are intended for younger readers and sets of these are available as well — they’re a great way to entertain kids who might be using the library after school and who need to be engaged in structured reading and discussion. COMIX.@$#! introduces teens to the wonderful world of comics and graphic novels, explores graphic novels as literary and visual works of art, and brings together teens with other teens to discuss and read 10 unique selections. CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE: YOUNG PEOPLE AND WAR helps readers to explore the theme of youth who are affected by war.
