Author/Illustrator Anna Dewdney Dies at Age 50: Anna Dewdney, best known for the picture book series that began with Llama Llama Red Pajama (Viking, 2005), died at age 50 from brain cancer.  She began her career by illustrating the books of other authors, but found great success with the “Llama Llama” series, which she wrote and illustrated.  Netflix will release an animated television series based on the Llama character in 2017.  www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/childrens/childrens-authors/article/71404-obituary-anna-dewdney.html
