Author Natalie Babbitt Dies: Natalie Babbitt died on Oct. 31, 2016 at age 84 from lung cancer. Her many notable novels for children include Tuck Everlasting, originally published in 1975 by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux, and turned into a Broadway musical earlier this year. Some of her other books include The Search for Delicious, Goody Hall, The Devil’s Storybook (and sequels), and Kneeknock Rise.
