Author/Illustrator Ed Young Dies: Ed Young died on Sept. 29, 2023, at age 91 at his home in New York. Young received the Caldecott Medal in 1990 for Lon Po Po, and received Caldecott Honors for The Emperor and the Kite in 1968 and Seven Blind Mice in 1993. Obituary: Ed Young (publishersweekly.com).
