Author Alex Gino to Speak at Oakland Library:
Fourth-grader Melissa is a girl who the world sees as a boy named George. When her teacher announces that their class play is going to be Charlotte’s Web, Melissa knows she really, really, REALLY wants to play Charlotte. Will this be the chance for people to see her for who she is?
On Saturday, March 19th @ 3:00 pm in the Oakland Main Library Children’s Room, 125 14st, meet Alex Gino the author of George. Join Alex for a reading and discussion about their story, writing process, and trans awareness. Books will be available for checkout and for sale.
